Otherwise someone will say that have not read and tried the suggestions in the other threads. Without understanding the route cause of the issue I opted to post under a thread referencing the same error message as I had received. What I did find a little odd was that steam installed the game underīut according to the warning log the game was looking for information at I didn t mention, but having read the warning log I've checked the processor drivers and directX11 (via the windows 7 SP1). I have a GeForce GT 540M chipset with up to date drivers. I thought this was ok and it is running much better. This happened because I'd taken my personal laptop into work for use (I'm a contractor), the IT guy there and I decided it was better to rebuild because it was running like a lame dog (suspected infection) and they wanted to introduce the office account and security protocols given that the laptop was going to be interacting with the company server. The OS was re-installed from the office server with my licence key (I believe the orginal OS was preinstalled from Dell).
